H.D. Smith the First Pharmaceutical Wholesaler to Track Drugs with RFID

H.D. Smith will track drugs in its distribution center with Matrics' EPC RFID system. Each bottle will be tagged with a one-inch square RFID tag.

According to PR Newswire:

"Robert Kashmer, Vice President of Information Technology for H.D. Smith said, 'We see benefits in two key areas, namely, product handling / logistics and product / supply chain integrity.' The area of product handling and logistics includes inventory at a specific bottle serial number level." Read more
