RFID for healthcare might be the next big thing in the life cycle of the technology. The radio identification techniques of the technology can be used to keep track of the entire medical information of a patient undergoing treatment. Microsoft Taiwan along with some of its partners is in the process of developing a comprehensive system to achieve the same. RFID can be used to speed up package delivery. Microsoft would earn by selling the softwares necessary for running such products. RFID can come as a welcome solution to patients who cannot take care of themselves. MTC Taipei is trying to make RFID systems that can be put into identification tags of patients. This would facilitate their safety concerns and give insights into their behaviour. RFID is widely being considered as bridge between data and information. ComputerPartner.nl reports:
Did (patients) get the medicine on time? Is it the right medicine?
Is it dangerous when used with other medicines (the patient) is currently on?
