FDA to conduct a workshop to promote RFID in order to protect patients against fake drugs

The Food and Drug Administration would be conducting a public workshop and vendor display regarding the use of RFID in combating fake drugs. The workshop would be held on 8th and 9th February at Holiday Inn, Maryland. FDA is of the opinion that workshops like these are necessary in order to bring about the necessary co-operation in keeping the drugs safe. The motive of the workshop is to ensure the adoption of RFID throughout American drug supply chain and overcoming obstacles if any.
