BT Audio-ID Services has introduced a managed service which involves active RFid tags called AssetIntelligence. This service is meant for companies looking to track and manage reusable business assets in a better manner without requiring any investment in their own RFid systems. AssetIntelligence brings together RFid equipments and tags, system design and deployment and software and server hardware required to collect and distribute data. It makes use of active RFid tags and readers supplied by WaveTrend. The trial version of AssetIntelligence was rolled out last summer at one of the BT’s 150 U.K. technical engineering centers.
