RFID@Play: Introducing world's first RFID-enabled football and golf arcade games

This innovation is a result of the collaboration between RFID Journal and Rush Tracking Systems. The duo will introduce RFID@Play at RFID Journal LIVE! 2006, which will take place in Las Vegas, May 1-3.

First, RFID-enabled football - attendees will throw a tagged football into one of three holes, the smallest of which will score the most points. Each hole is fitted with an RFID interrogator antenna. Before he/she makes a pass, the attendee will swipe his or her show badge. This badge contains the RFID tag. The system records which hole the ball goes through. It keeps track of the attendee's total score for five attempts. The system displays details of the person with the current highest score throughout the day.
