Bailian Group has become ready to conduct yet another round of pilot program to use RFID technology. China's largest retail chain Bailian is to utilize the technology to track goods within its distribution centre and also the shipments from other suppliers.
The first pilot RFID program remained in operation for three months was successful and proved effective.
In the Second phase , the retailer will tag items at its Shanghai warehouse. Then Bailan Group will closely monitor the distribution centres, storage systems and other such vital areas.
VeriSign, the information services company will assist the Bailian Group by providing a number of EPCglobal Network components like Object Naming Services, information Services and Track and Trace Services.
