RFID attracts software companies
With RFID technology gaining popular among the users particularly retailers day by day, the software companies is planning to earn windfall profit by developing RFID softwares. The companies both large and small come up with new strategies to cater the need of the market and expect to earn huge profit.
The California based software company InSync Software has earned $7.5 million in series A funding by developing softwares relating to RFID. Now the company is planning to expand its operation beyond North America .
Other companies like IBM and BEA are now thinking of new strategies to hit the market. IBM which has already utilized the RFID capabilities into its WebSphere has made arrangements with vendors like Alien Technology Corp., Arcom Control Systems , and OATSystems Inc. to dominate the market. BEA has also signed a deal with data analysis software vendor T3Ci.
In the emerging market scenario, the retailers use RFID technology. The case study has shown that the use of RFID in store houses reduces the Out-of-Stock situations. The department of Defense also uses RFID technology.
