Spychips warns the Spanish-speaking countries about the RFID technology. 'Spychips: How Major Corporations and Government Plan to Track Your Every Move with RFID', an award-winning book whose Spanish language version released in Latin American countries including, Mexico , Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, and Chile was originally written in English by the two authors Katherine Albrecht and Liz McIntyre.
The book says that the RFID is a controversial technology, which breaches privacy of the human beings. The use of tiny microchips allows the RFID technology to track everyday objects, animals and people from a distance. Therefore, these chips are nicknamed as 'Spychips'.
Albrect, the American author who originally wrote the book said, 'The industry is trying to downplay the dangers and create incentives to spread spychips around the world. Once Spanish-speakers read our book and realize big companies and governments want to use this technology to track them in public places and control their movements, we believe they will say 'no' to RFID.'
