Impinj is extending its GrandPrix UHF Gen 2 solution to include item level tagging capability. After having received increased demand from the global supply chain and other high growth markets, The company is enhancing GrandPrix for tracking pharmaceuticals, CD/DVD, apparel and other high value products. It is the first RFid system which is providing a single infrastructure suitable for tagging items, cases and pallets which simplifies RFid installations and reduces system implementation costs without sacrificing system performance or functionality. It is powered with Monza Gen 2 tag chip and Speedway reader with monostatic antenna technology. The solution also comprises a suite of patented, small footprint tag antennas optimized for challenging item types or stocking conditions.
