Dual Frequency UHF/HF Item-level RFID POS Reader from Tagsys

Tagsys is introducing Dual Frequency UHF/HF Item-level RFID point of sale Reader at the ongoing RFID Journal Live 2006 in Las Vegas.

Tagsys's new reader enables retailers to benefit from Dual Frequency RFID infrastructure, as it is a flexible new system.

Analysts say that Tagsys's new universal reader can help hasten the growth of item-level RFID in the promising retail market. The retail market now commonly uses a solution mix consisting of tags – HF, which is used predominantly by the pharmaceutical industry] and UHF, which is used in the fashion industry for example. This is done to deal with the menace of counterfeiting, black marketing, and shrinkage of goods. It also helps improve the efficiency of the supply chain
