Shipcom launches version 9.0 of CATAMARAN Software

Shipcom announced that it has launched the Version 9.0 of its CATAMARAN software.To launch Version 9.0 of Shipcom's CATAMARAN Software, more than 100 man months of effort was utilized. Several custormers have started using Version 9.0.

Mustafa Dohadwala, Shipcom's Chief Architect says,

Version 9 has been engineered to provide a highly scalable architecture and companies can now deploy and manage distributed solutions involving various scenarios to intelligently process / route massive volume of RFID related data via automated operations. It also protects investments made by our existing customers in earlier CATAMARAN versions by offering Gen 2 support on readers from manufacturers like Alien, AWID, and Symbol.

Tatung's CIO, Chris Cho said,

CATAMARAN 9.0 not only helps us in complying with the requirements of Gen 2 but also helps us in deploying software more efficiently by using its new distributed deployment function and to keep system downtime to the minimal by using its cluster aware capabilities.

Chirs Cho has worked for the implementation of CATAMARAN solution in multiple US sites across several manufacturing lines. 

Mike Allen, Vice President of Sales at Shipcom said,

The new capability of CATAMARAN Version 9.0 clearly distances Shipcom from a pure- play middleware vendor. The ability to quickly define and deliver solution sets across various industries will provide customers a crossing point where systems solutions and ROI meet.
